About Me

My name is Domnita Vieru, I am an artist and an illustrator originally from Moldova; now I reside in United States. I come from a family of artists, and I have been drawing and painting as long as I can remember me.

I graduated the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts from Chisinau, Moldova, where I got a Master Degree in Graphics, and later a PhD in Visual Arts. After graduation, I worked in the position of University Lecturer at the same institution. I was teaching Drawing, Painting, Composition and the History of Decorative Arts. From 2007 to 2010, I worked as Dean Assistant in Science of Art. During these years, I participated at numerous art exhibitions and show rooms; I illustrated several books, and participated at various art symposiums. In 2010, I moved to United States. Here I was able to gain some experience as an art restorer, also I collaborated for a while with a puppet theater, and fulfilled many personal gigs. From 2013 to 2015, I worked at the Visual Art Center in Panama City Beach, Florida. In 2015, I illustrated my first book in USA, called “Paint The Sea: A Turtle’s Dream”, by C.Miller.

Currently I am working with local galleries and fulfilling online orders.
